Has anyone been? Can you just turn up off the street? If I do, will they be nice to me?

Yes, yes, yes.

They have plenty to look at.

Yes! Absolutely they’re worth a visit. Loads of smaller brands on display, really helpful and friendly.

I got my Holton GMT from them last month.

Much obliged!

I'm considering Awake or Straum, but they seem to have an awful lot of lovely things. Definitely having a look at a Christopher Ward The Twelve while I'm there.

It may have changed since I went last but it is a bit odd. It’s an office rather than a store front so you have to buzz in. Once you’re up there it’s a normal shopping experience.

I found it incredibly hard to actually find. It’s on the first floor of a shared office block and the only sign is on the door buzzer. No appointment necessary although always best to check what day you intend to go as they sometime have private/invite only events on so are not open to the public that day.

It is a bit of a weird set up but the space itself is nice once you get up there and the staff were very helpful and let you try anything on.

I went during a weekday afternoon and there was a lot of people coming in and out for the 20 minutes I was there so it’s certainly popular.

I believe they also have a Tudor pop-up in there at the moment too if that helps.

What are you meant to say at the buzzer? "Hello, I'm Sporky, you don't know me but I think you have watches and I like watches and maybe I'd like to buy one but I don't know yet. Am I allowed in?".

Still better than WoS who employ someone to glare at you if you approach the door, I s'pose.

They just answered and said to come up to the first floor when I went, I didn’t even say anything.

Thanks - that's quite reassuring. I may have a tendency to overthink things.

Next up; what watch do I wear so that they won't judge me unworthy? (it's OK, you don't have to answer that, you've all indulged me most generously already).

Being PH, obviously you should choose your cheapest PP - one would want to demonstrate one is of a suitable calibre without one appearing overly showy...

Good call.

Also I bet they won't have seen a Percy Pullman before.

I can see that by the second half of your post!

Just wear some clothes. hehe

It’s not a stuck up authorised dealer, it’s a relaxed ‘clubhouse’ space without any of that rubbish - I think that was one of the major aims of the place.

It’s not that type of place at all. I mentioned the access thing because it is a bit weird when you’re stood there but once you’re inside they are all nice people in my experience who are enthusiastic about what they do.

Excellent. I feel appropriately reassured and may well be brave enough next time I'm in London.
