Eco Crisis!

Disaster...

My much loved Eco Drive ProMaster (module C652) is dead. Weeks of basking in direct light hasn't resurrected this proud aviator.

My tried and trusted watch repairer reliably informs me that the capacitor for this model is unobtainium, which is terrible news...

... unless anyone here knows different? Any help very gratefully received, this particular watch has sentimental value.

Could you find a donor watch and replace the movement? A straight swap might be an idea?

This is probably the simplest option. Buy a used watch on ebay for £150, get the watch guy to replace movements. I understand and respect the sentimental value of it, otherwise I'd just say to buy another and use that.

It suddenly occurred to me that you might be able to find the same cap in a cheaper watch. You can pick up non-Promasters with similar complications for about £50 on ebay and they might have the same cap. Google might be useful. Or your watch guy.
