Special watch advice
Discussion
Hi
Wondering if the PH experts can look over the below, a friend is thinking of buying it as a special birthday gift for her husband.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/137159228162?_skw=leman...
Is it value for money? Is the eBay authenticity guarantee sufficient protection?
Any other thoughts/suggestions/advice welcome
Cheers

I know nothing of the watch, but I would be wondering whether I'd need to pay 20% VAT on it as it's in Jersey.Wondering if the PH experts can look over the below, a friend is thinking of buying it as a special birthday gift for her husband.

I know nothing about these, but the lume on that dial is really shonky. It's all over the place. Are they all that bad, or has this one been re-lumed by an amateur?
Not sure where to tell you to go for advice on this one. You could try watchuseek, the guys on the vintage forum are experts, but they are mostly based in the USA, so probably won't be able to help here. Thewatchforum.co.uk has UK posters, but I don't know of any who collect military. TZ-UK might be worth a shot, but I'm unsure if they are taking new forum members (don't ask, it's a weird setup and weirder forum.)
Good luck.
