I'm thinking about getting a blue dialed watch and generally prefer NATO straps to bracelets.

So other than a typical blue trap (which I'm not really that keen on) what other colour NATO straps work with a blue dial and bezel.

I’m a sucker for a blue dive watch, and love the look of a cognac or orange leather strap. If you’re sticking to nylon NATO’s then grey works quite well.
I find that the blue tends to stand out more with the orange or cognac straps, and fades when on grey. Have fun experimenting.

I have a few orange straps that(to me) work quite well with blue.

I also have this on a Hamilton. I think the red lifts it a bit.

When my blue Tudor Subs are on NATOs, they are pretty much always grey, the Lead Grey from CNS a favourite at the moment, but other blue-ish greys like the Phoenix Admiralty Grey, work well.

I find a blue NATO a bit too much blue on a blue watch... Black too boring... colours orange/yellow, especially if they pick up lume patina, can work well but don't feel very 'everyday', to me.

This is lead grey, lighter in natural light, whole watch looks quite dark (except the lume) under these artificial lights (or not great light from the window):
