Omega descents and 0%

Have decided on grabbing a Seamaster instead of. Rolex as an everyday watch. Looking to buy via 0% which seems readily available, but wondered if any AD’s will do discount and finance, or is it one or the other?

Just make sure your eyes are open, I've got a seamster which I love, it's a good quality feeling watch, it's hard to fault although the movement has a design feature I don't love but anyway, at the time it was new, similar money would have bought a no date sub without papers (few quid more) or a nice Tudor sub. Both of which I looked at but stupidly didn't buy while "affordable".
If you genuinely have the funds to buy a Rolex (I assume sub) then long term it's unlikely the seamaster will compete on retaining it's value, in reality it will likely drop a fair bit.
At the same time if you don't then 0% does get you a nice watch on your wrist. Although how wise a financial decision that is, is very much up to you. And a 0% credit card might do similar with more bargaining power/opening the market to other options.
If you get the seamaster you won't be unhappy with it. Just make sure it's exactly what you want.

I’m guessing it would be a discount or interest free but only one way to find out for certain. Personally, I’d never buy another Omega new, even with a big discount, unless I was confident I would never want to sell it. The depreciation on most models is pretty brutal and there are so many nearly new / unworn watches with such big discounts that’s where I’d be looking.
I have a Aqua Terra and it's a lovely watch but I would be pushing for a good discount especially with the price rises over the last few years.
I managed to get a large discount and 0% from an AD but this was during COVID and the shops were closed so that possibly had something to do with it.

It may well be that the 0% finance is with Omega direct even though sold through the retailer hence no discount on the deal OR the retailer will cut some of their margin to give you a discount without finance.
I fully understand that you might want "new" and if so a good discount on Omega should be forthcoming if asked and pushed for, especially from a smaller chain of stockists eg Berrys and not a WoS or Goldsmiths.
Like a previous poster said a pre-owned recently purchased Omega is really good value. My son about a year ago bought a nearly new, unblemished, box and papered 41mm Aqua Terra from a well known London dealer off Chrono24 at about 50% off RRP. I couldn't fault the watch. It is fabulous for the money he paid for it and he wears it all the time (which annoys me, I will end up buying him a Sinn when he is working on the tractors/machinery or doing building/repairs or riding his horse).

Could you PM me the well known London dealer, or just post it. I'm not adverse to buying nearly new, but on Chrono24 the differences aren't anywhere near 50%. How does it work with the overseas suppliers on there? Are they pre VAT and duty?
Does anyone have experience... I'm very new to this haha
Aqua Terra's a different watch altogether from the 300m, and doesn't have the same residual value, nice as they are.
We have a local jeweller who'll do all our staff 10% discount and coming up to Christmas offers 20% so if you apply yourself you could get 10% off list no problem, the margins are there. .
I wouldn't dream of buying from abroad, there's plenty of mint/near mint second hand watches available in the UK if you don't fancy buying new, and you can get a better choice, not all current models are desirable, someting like the black 2254 is a much nicer watch.

As much as I love Omega watches, I'd only buy new if it was something harder to obtain like a Snoopy or Ed White 321.

I picked up my 3861 Speedmaster from Watch Finder for a good £2k below RRP new. Watch had barely been worn and came with plenty of its original warranty left.
A fault developed on it where it was losing time - took it into my local Omega boutique, which I get on very well with. They sent it off for a warranty service, no quibbling. The store manager acknowledged what a good deal that was, and commented that the best he could do is offer one free service with a new watch.
