Would appreciate some advice. I bought my dad a Datejust for his 60th, 23 years ago. It's not been serviced and now won't run for very long. I called Rolex St James about a service and they are closed to the public (which many on here probably already know). They suggested I go to WoS on Old Bond Street. I can do that but wondered if there are other parties who might provide an equivalent service? I appreciate WoS aren't Ratners but if it's not Rolex undertaking the service then given the sentimental value I'd like to go to someone who I feel I can trust and isn't nameless. Hope that makes sense!

If you send it to RSC and there is any parts that aren't correct anymore ie faded lume or bezel etc they will replace it. It will come out looking new but they will charge you ££££ for it.

I have used Watchguy.co.uk for my dads Datejust after my dad died, cost £250 for service and I received a load of pictures! Bazza on here is in Birmingham and services watches.

I'd personally send it to Watchguy.

Bazza off here & TZ recommend these to me,

https://ajwsl.co.uk/

Serviced my Sub & fixed the GS butchered attempts on my 43 bracelet removing flat link screws.

No charge for the fixing the bracelet, GS had put screws in wrong places redface
