I'm surprised the German prison guards agreed to the arrangement.

I love the way that the owner was allowed one despite not being an officer.

Same watch was sold for $65k in 2006. Thats about £35k - so not a bad return if he gets £60k for it this year...

after bashing rolex earlier, that is one very very nice looking piece of wristwear ....

edit - great story too, even down to the watch staying with its owner till his death aged 90!!
