All this talk of trading in watches has got me thinking I do not wear this one any more. I have original box and all the papers that came with it.

Is it solid gold or gold plate?

How old? Do you remember what you paid?

I am assuming the movement is quartz - can you confirm or deny this?

Yes it is quartz. It was £400ish 18 years ago and I think it is plated. My memory of price could be off a little but that figure sticks in my mind for some reason.

To be honest, that is about the most undesirable combination to a collector I'm afraid. Very few Quartz watches are sought after.

If it is in very good condition I would say it is worth around £150 now, no more.

Sorry if that isn't what you were hoping for.

If I were you I'd keep it. It is a nice dress watch and it is an Omega. That will always show you to be a man of good taste.
