As per the title really, I'm in London on Friday and want to have a first look for a potential new watch - am limited on time though so it needs to be in walking distance of Victoria Station. Can anyone help?

What sort of thing are you after?

There's a new Goldsmiths on Victoria St, which will have most of the mid range brands such as Breitling, Tag, Omega, Cartier etc....
If you hop on the Victoria line tube one stop to Green park (about 4 mins) then you have 2 watches of Switzerland stores, Asprey, Rolex, cartier, Marcus.....loads to see.

Cheers Dominic, as a first look Goldsmiths is fine!

Selfridges has revamped it's menswear area to a hall full of watches now (The Wonder Room)- very big range. It would be worth visiting and 5-10 minutes by taxi or tube to Green Park and change to Jubilee line to Bond St.

Plus in Oxford St there are several watch shops, including Watches of Switzerland and then the upper end of Bond St has a few too, including second hand ones.

Also Knightsbridge just down the road too for Harrods.
