Can anyone recommend any books on the subject of wrist watches?

I am interested in finding out more about the mechnicals themselves and also the history of manufacturers.

Any recommendations gratefully received

Wris ttch Annual is quite good, has a small section on all of the major manufacturers, with brief history of the company and the current models/prices.

I love dipping through 'Cult Watches' by Michael Balfour, and I subscribe to QP.
