Marine Militare

What is the situation with Marine Militare, from what I can find they are copied style to Panerai without actually being fakes as the Panerai name is not used, It seems looking at forums that as a brand they are considered within their own right as a homage to Pan rather than fakes.

If that being the case is there an actual company where these watches can be purchased directly from ?

I have one - build quality is crap. Its a stty movement held in place by a plastic case to fit the oversized case.

Looks nice though - I only bought it to see how a Panerai would fit for an extended period before I bought one.

IIRC, the Marina Militares are actually copies of a watch by RXW, which was a homage to the original Panerai, and sold for reasonably significant money.
