Does anyone have an opinion on this watch and wether the watch has started to be delivered to dealers yet?

I take it you mean the 2008 version? I think they do a limited eddition of it pretty much every year which IMO makes it not so special, the only version I really liked was the 2006 I think which had a small piece of wood from the calypso on the back under crystal, I'd still love one of those as they looked much nicer without any gaudey bright colours on the face. But I think the rubber strap on the current version looks cheap which for such a premium watch is a shame.

I also think the whole Cousteau association is a bit of a marketting con as I'm pretty sure the old man actually always wore Blanc Pain.

Not sure about that.

I've certainly seen pics of him wearing an Omega Marine Chronometer.
