Was looking for a watch for the missus today and while in the Rolex AD there was a fella picking up both a green glass Milgauss (which he offered to sell to me on the spot!) and the DSSD.

Having seen the Deep Sea in the flesh, tried it on etc... I'm so pleased I have my (old model) SD - I couldn't wear the new one as it is too big and it has lost the simple 'tool' look. Far too much going on - that said, the new clasp is fantastic!

The Milgauss was much nicer but not something I've hankered over and don't need its abilities. When he offered it to me I politely declined - I didn't even bother asking for how much - I assumed he was going to say something silly as I asked how long the wait would be and was told at least a year for both.

Anyway - I've decided that I'm not going to buy any other watches for a while as I have my sights set on my ultimate grail piece - A. Lange & Söhne, Datograph in Rose Gold - going to take a while to save up for it!

coincidence! I tried on a green glass Milgaus today as well! Certainly prefer it to the norm. Wonder if this means there are a few more appearing now?

Also tried on the new ceramic GMT II - very nice.

Just had a look at the green glass online, not at all sure about the lightning strike hand thing?
