I found a watch...
Discussion
Under a floorboard in my house.
Out of curiosity how do I find out more about it? The only information I can find on it is on the front, it just says "Spirit Chronometer Co.". The dial is a black circle with cream font and then a cream ring with brown, hand painted, lines radiating from the centre. There is also a logo that looks like three drops of water.
Any Ideas?

Dont take it to Christies!
My mum found an old Cartier in a box of junk in an old farmhouse she bought in rural France. The house hadn't been lived in since the 1940s.
Working near Bond St I said I'd take it in and see what it was. The lady at Christies took a quick look and decided it was fake. Off I trot and get the old dear the bad news.
Luckily she is a hoarder and had it laying around when a family friend who is into his watches came round. She told the story, the back of the watch was removed and revealed a lovely manual movement inside a lovely gold case - the dial was vintage and had seen better days.
She took it to a specialist auction and got well over a grand for it. I'd have binned it after the expert said it was a fake!

I doubt it's expensive, more interested in where it came from and when it might have been dropped? Looks like something Japanese from the mid/late 80's to me from the design?
