I have an Omega Seamaster. I don't wear it every day and have been told that I should invest in a watch winder. I don't know anything about these so can someone point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Some swear by them, some say not necessary.

I have one for my automatics but I'm one space short and hand-wind my Davosa every day.

One of the main advantages is if you have complications that would need re-setting regularly.

I've had a couple and sold them. Now I'd only use them for complications which are a pain to set (or vintage watches without quickset dates). I wouldnt bother for a newish seamaster to be honest

I wasn't sure so bought a really cheap one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ka003-b-AUTOMATIC-WATCH-WIND...

It's worked fine, has a basic timer on it which I've supplemented with one of those cheap wall socket timer things. It only needs to wind my Monster 2 hours a day.

I like it because it means I can just grab the watch, put it on and not worry about having to set it.
