I was out and about today and came across one of these watches for a bloody good price!

I was wondering what people think of them?

Titanium bracelet and case, Sapphire crystal, Solar powered, Time set by atomic clock etc

http://www.oceanus-us.com/

Retail is £500 and I can get the blue or black faced ones for £150 each, which, considering the spec seems like a bargain.

Are these watches pretty good? I was looking at a Seiko Titanium chrono for about the same cash but these seem to be so much more advanced!

Oh very nice. I haven't seen one of those before.

Do you mind mentioning where this deal is available at? I wouldn't mind one of those myself.

Can you get me one for £150? If so, it is the best watch in the World as far as I'm concerned. Seriously though, can you? I have actually been thinking about getting one of these Waveceptor type watches for travel because it's bloody brilliant technology and with solar power, as long as the sun keeps burning, your watch will keep working. What more could you want?

ETA: Which model can you get for £150? There are 19 to choose from!

Hi guys,

Seems like they are popular.

I can get a couple styles but I cant see them on that US website. I am not sure if they are older stock Oceanus watches or if they are just UK specific ones?

I will scan in the page from the advert a bit later on to show the styles

What about a Casio pathfinder?

I bought one of those for exactly all the reasons stated above and that was for £160.

It's nice but I prefer the more upmarket look of the Oceanus, metal case, sapphire crystal etc.

I like the features on the Pathfinder but prefer the more refined look of the Oceanus.

I had an Oceanus, which I bought in Banff whilst on holiday. You couldn't get them in the UK at that time, and was a magnificant piece of kit, but wasn't getting any wrist time, so went up for sale and is now back over the pond.

Fantastic build, reliablility and full of functions. Would have another if the right one came along.

Casio at Carnaby are doing this range at half price with this code - 0001043AW50. Which brings them closer to what they're worth IMO.

This is the one I like. However, I think it's only available in Japan or the US. The US version doesn't have 'Casio' written on the face. The model is OCW-M700TBJ-1AJF.
