Picking it up (got it delivered to work, am off today) later.

It had better not be a bit rubbish after all this - I ordered it on the 1st of September...

I'm excited for you. I do hope that the second thing that you do (after showing the family) will be to post some high quality pics here?

Mrs J cannot understand the watch thing. She thinks I'm some kind of loony for spending this sort of money on watches. Of course, I have the perfect response - I simply silently point at her army of shoes.

This will be my last watch purchase for a while; next on the list is a Planet Ocean, so some overtime will have to be worked and saved.

ETA: Yep, piccies will be posted.

Well I'll expect to see pictures here first of all then wink

I do the same with my wife. I haven't done the counting, but I'm almost certain that the sum total of my meagre collection is less than that of her Imelda Marcos apeing shoe and handbag collection.

And here it is.

It's a big watch. Not too deep, though, and not particularly heavy. I like the big, easy-to-grasp crown (it has a quickset date) and the solid feeling of the piece. Not one for those with skinny wrists, though.

A very nice take on the traditional Flieger style followed by IWC, Stowa et al.

I would personally like it to be a little deeper so that the crown stands clear of your wrist, but it really is a lovely looking watch. How much are they?

I paid £250 for it.

I'm going to have to be careful. I'm going to start walking into things if I don't stop looking at it!

There is one thing, though.

That's a sad duck at 12 o'clock.

Quack.

CJ,

That looks great, thanks for posting...nice pics.Nice to see the C8 has been delivered at last!

I nearly bought one of these,I already own a C5 Malvern Auto from CW.

I think they are very good value and well made for the money.
