Very nice indeed. Didn't you say you weren't in the market when we spoke at BTaP? wink

Come then, where from? New or used?

Been saving my magic money beads up, and got a little windfall.

New, from a local jeweller, who sat and blathered with me about watches while he sized the bracelet. I had the choice of the black or the orange bezel. The black one is very handsome, but the orange is just that little bit more, well... orange.

The clasp is unfeasibly solid. You could shackle dragons with it.

It's the big 'un, yes. It wears no bigger than my C8, but is considerably heavier.

ETA: I've been thinking about this. I reckon it wears no bigger than my Black Monster:

And that's a 41.5mm watch.

Go figure. The lesson here is never dismiss a watch on the basis of size alone; try it on.

Weight wise, it's 210 grammes (yes, being the sad git that I am, I (a) have an electronic scale and (b) weighed it) which is a lot compared to many watches.

Ti Seamasters? Dunno. Didn't see any in the catalogue (told you I was sad - I got the D örnbluth one through the door the other day - now that is an interesting read) but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Great selection, CJ. I have a real 'thing' for the orange-bezelled version. gorgeous.

Enjoy your beans.

No amount of beans seems to have me any closer to my Dornbleuth 99.0, sadly..

Congrats, again..

You (and anyone else who's interested in hand-made watches) should send off for the Dornblüth catalogue, if you haven't already. It's fascinating.

I'd like a Dornbleuth too, although my Stowa Marine Original does very nicely as an alternative.

I'm currently preoccupied with finding one of these...

I bought this as an xmas present from me, to me.

So, after some deliberation, I let myself have it a bit early.

(Actually, to be strictly accurate, I put it on in the shop and haven't taken it off yet)

Self giving, particularly with watches, is an excellent idea at this time of year. It is a lovely looking watch. I know what you mean about the weight - It tried on a friends and it is a bloody heavy lump....
