After reading Stuart's musings on late 60s Heuer watches and their tritium lume, I Googled around for pictures of such and happened across this:

I've not seen a watch with red lume, but I think it'd be groovy, to say the least.

Have you?

I've got one of those ^ can do a lume picture if you want, although looking at it the red bits are only ordinary paint and not lume.

Having just got the thing in the dark the red does glow so I was wrong, sorry pic on its way soon.
Pic where the light level is just low enough for the hands to glow...

Then with lighting provided by TV only...

The same but longer exposure...

And lastly in Complete darkness...

you can see that the red paint actually glows green and less brightly than the yellow lume.

Thanks.

That is strange.

I like the fact it's a black watch, though. Strange also that the crown is silver.

I suppose it depends on what lume.

I have a custom made Pan homage with RED 3,6,12, BLUE 1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11 markers and GREEN hands all superluminova

Green is the brightest and lasts thru the night, blue also lasts thru the night but not quite as bright, red unfortunately looks good to start with but lasts about 1/2hr if that.
