Edited to add...

Clicked the link. Interesting design, quite like it but a bit confused by the care details:-

To maintain appearance we recommend avoiding contact with liquids
It's a fking G-shock you muppets!!!! If liquid has an adverse effect then it's a very poor G-shock indeed.

Strangely I can't find it anywhere else online. No even on Casio's own G-Shock site? It's doesn't seem to exist?

The fact that G-Shock themselves don't list it on their own G-Shock site concerns me slightly.
Either it's very very old design (although I've never seen one before) or something strange is 'appening.

hmmm.... Very confusing indeed.

Fake, I think.

It just doesn't look right.

Things that don't sit right:

  • I've never seen a G-Shock with that style of digit display
  • The font for the words like "SHOCK RESIST" and "WATER 200M RESIST" seems wrong
  • The button labels "Reset/select/light/start/stop" don't agree with the moulded labels
  • The general style of construction seems very tacky, especially those screw heads

That link shows they sell loads of other g shock/ mudman etc watches. I think it's genuine, why fake a £58 watch?

Well, maybe I was wrong... maybe.

Here's the "real" watch on the Casio.co.uk site...

http://www.casio.co.uk/Products/Watches/G-Shock/GW...

Still not totally convinced by the Red one as there appeas to be loads of Vsual differences there.

The one listed on Casio has solar power and wave-ceptor... looks like a must buy smile

edited to add:

Stovey, G-shocks are very faked. Just have a look at ebay. There are hundreds of fake G-Shock and Baby-G watches listed every day.

Had a response as follows;

"Thank you for your email regarding the image sent with this attachment, unfortunately we are unable to say whether it is genuine or not. Casio UK as a similar model GW-056E which is radio controlled. Please look at the back of the watch for
the watch code which should start with G."

The watch in the OP is a G-056 (the non solar, non wave ceptor version of the GW-056)

Blimey. I take it all back.

Apart from the bits that imply that it looks a bit crappy, because it does.
