Thought I'd start a new post about the above watch which I've just receieved. Purely for the benefit of those who don't see my post in the existing "Interesting watch for under a ton" thread..........

Well the watch has arrived and I'm very pleased with it. I asked Nick to supply it with the "Lux" strap which he did, and he also included the standard stainless strap and a black plastic strap aswell.

I can't understand the last comment about the watch feeling lightweight and cheap. It's not a heavy watch granted, but it's certainly no lightweight. The case is obviously just to protect the watch. I very much doubt it was meant to be some kind of display item, especially at this price.

The watch feels solid and good quality, and in my eyes definitely worth the (£90) price. If I had one criticism it would be that the red colour of the hands makes it look like they are plastic, and the slight green hue of the minute & hour hands and the numerals cheapens the look slightly. If they were all white it would really look the part.

Overally I'm very pleased with the watch. It's a daily basher, looks much more expensive than it is, feels good quality, has good presence while still remaining semi discreet and comes with a 2 year guarantee.

I'm also very impressed with the service from Nick at http://www.wernersflyingwatches.com

I emailed him at 11:30pm about the watch, and received an unexpected reply at around 11:32pm! Fifteen minutes and a few emails later, the watch was ordered. Nick put it in the post the next day, and I received it the day after. Nice and easy, and the way it should be. I'll defniitely be back should they get any others I can't resist.

I would say if you like the look of the watch, and realise it's a <£100 watch, not a £1000+ watch, then you'll love it. I was asked about it by my 2 brothers (32 and 21) over xmas dinner, and I challenged them to guess the price. They settled on £900....

They're decent, honest watches for the money. I have a T3SL Nightfighter and I wear it in rotation with my mechanicals. The strap it came with is, while not particularly handsome, extremely comfortable (the metal bracelet ain't all that, though).

The only thing that I think lets the watch down is the lume not being terribly, well, luminous. But then, I've also got a Seiko Monster, so I've been somewhat spoilt in that respect.

I look at it as the TVR of watches. On my Tri-phase, the day and month aren't quite lined up with the window but that's part of the charm. They're supposed to represent old hand-made watches not ones built by machines.

I have one exactly the same. I shouldn't get so excited by it (retro styling with Citizen innards), but i love it to bits, looks SO classy, and much more than it actually cost
