Hi, my first times posting on these forums so bare with me. After ready through countless threads about watches, specifically Seiko's i decided to pop into town set on buying a nice seiko chronograph. Not knowing much i read up a little so i knew what i wanted, popped into H.Samuel's (God knows why) and bought a Seiko 7T92, i liked the look so i just went for it, quartz is good enough for me.

Now i was cautious of the numpty removing some of the links and scratching it, but she managed that fine, until later last night at a new years eve party, checking the time i noticed that 1 of the pins that hold the links together was protruding right out, holding the links together with about 3 mm of metal, which nearly ended with my brand new watch on the kitchen floor under the merciless feet of my drunk mates :P. After getting home and not wearing it for the rest of the night it seems that even when i push the pin back in with say a safety pin, couldn't find anything small enough and don't have the appropriate tools, it just comes out the other side. sorry about the horrendous English, but im a little hung over smile

As i cant go back until tomorrow, id appreciate any help to solve the problem
(Edit) Btw it was the one of the closest links to the clasp from the 12 o clock side, i assume after the last adjustment, that was wear the last link was removed from.

It's possible that the 7T92 has the same bracelet design as the Monsters; i.e. there's a little collar that sits on the end of the pin. Without the collar (and it's truly tiny), the pin won't stay put.

This page has more information.

Ye im hoping thats it, the chances of them having any spare are probably next to none and i don't no how hard they are to source. So ill take it back tomorrow and see what they say.
Thanks for the help mate!

Yeah it'll be the collar that's fallen out and the pins probably just been pushed back in

Can be a real PITA doing those links sometimes, especially if you think it's a normal pin and take it out normally.
If you take it back they'll probably swap it with one of the spare links and fit it back properly - don't think they normally have the spare collars ( could be wrong though )

Ye i went back in today and she looked at me clueless for a while, after a few attempts at describing it and after she spoke to a colleague she said they would have to send it away to Seiko for a couple of weeks. Knowing that Seiko would put all the links back in and then they might cock it up again when resizing i decided to go for the refund.

A good friend of mine who works in fish brothers and said she might be able to get me a nice discount on one so was sorted in the end. Appreciate the help guys!

Ive also had a look at the Werner's watches and i think you've turn t me into a watch addict in a space of days, so many lovely watches and all for reasonable prices (on my measly student budget)smile

Thanks again!
Dan

Strange one that, did they not have another in stock? Should have swapped it if so.
How many links did you have taken out? Would have thought you could have used a different link ( would probably do the same thing again though lol)
Good luck with the new watch/es though!
