I have just returned from Grenada, WI, and done a sea trial of the Sinn I bought earlier in the month. The watch was worn every day both above and below the water (max depth 37 mts). It has behaved impeccably so far, hasn't missed a beat (pun intended), and taken a few knocks for it's trouble. It reminds me of the biscuit that says " go on dunk me again!" .......I bought this model because of the possible hard times it will face whilst boat-diving ( as opposed to muff-diving). It is running slightly fast but I will let it settle for a few more weeks before slaying it!
I have managed to put a small mark on the glass, any suggestions as to how to polish it out? The problem is, if it's strong enough to remove the mark, will it also scatch the rest of the face?

Stop it. I'm drooling, thank god there is a credit crunch and I feel too guilty to buy a second expensive watch.

What kind of mark? my U1 has a tiny mark on the AR coating but that seems as though it's not uncommon with a lot of the U series watches. Or do you mean some kind of scratch to the crystal itself?

I think it's a scratch as it feels like a slight valley under the thumb......but I'm not sure.

Sounds like you've answered your own question. If you can feel it then it won't be the AR coating IMO.

After a week or so of monitoring the accuracy of the the Sinn, I can report that it is gaining about 26 secs a week, or just under 4 secs per day. I believe that autos run fast to begin with, then settle down, is this about right? My Rolex Oyster (1985) is much more accurate now than it was......
