My birthday is rolling around again in a couple of weeks time frown & fancied treating myself to something nice ( yeah ok there's a credit crunch on but you've got to keep yourself happy right  )

Picked up this little beauty yesterday :

Which will go nicely with my "evening & nights out" watch :

Never really had an appreciation for nice watches till I started working for a watch repair company.

Looks nice.....

I dont have a Tag in my collection, dont know why I just feel they have lost the original style and function they had in the 80's when they became popular. Do they wear well and age like the cost would need?

I'll be honest & say the chronotimer doesn't feel that extra special but has got more of a day to day watch feel to it which was what I was looking for to replace my ageing Casio G-shock MTG.

The F1 Chronograph on the other hand feels a lot more solid & seems to go with many of my evening visits out & about.

You are right in saying the 80's Tags were the better years but I suppose they have to move with the times & go with styles more fitting to todays technology society.

Which one's which? Assuming you don't wear the diver's watch for with evening wear?

Neither of them are technically a divers watch , They are both from the Tag Heuer Formula 1 range.

F1 Chronotimer (Left) , F1 Chronograph (Right)

I use the F1 Chronograph for evening wear as I feel it has more presence on the wrist.

Too heavy & chunky to wear for prolonged periods.
