Hi guys,

My first post here. I am a bass player who owns www.basschat.co.uk and I love watches too, especially two subdial chronos for some reason.

I have spotted a watch I have wanted for a long time on TZ-UK but as a reader rather than a poster I don't have the 50 posts needed to reply and say I want the watch! Can anyone here help? My name on Basschat is 'ped' and I have bought and sold thousands of pounds of bass gear and very trustworthy!! Sorry to make my first post a request for a favour but you all seem like a cool bunch and I will definitely be contributing to this forum a lot!

Cheers
Chris

Thanks Andy, very helpful. I didn't realise I could actually PM the seller, so I have taken that step and awaiting a reply. I will send you my details too if that fails, so expect to hear a result either way soon. Thanks again for the kind offer.

Hi Chris

I recently joined TZ and also Watchuseek and made a purchase from both very early on. Most of the guys will talk to you I would say and if you have ebay references or the like that really will help as well

Cheers

From what I understand, you can buy on the forum from joining, just can't post any items for sale until you have submitted 50 posts in other areas of the forum.

Come and say Hi, we are a very friendly bunch over there and all suffering from the same conditionhehe

I will do mate! I can show off my collection (not that impressive judging by some I have seen)

I don't think it let me post a reply to the for sale thread but it let me send a PM without any problems, so hopefully it will be mine soon....

Cheers for the welcome and advice!

Hehe no something a bit cheaper this time. A CWC Mechanical - here it is: http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t...

Always liked the look of these but thought £400 odd was a bit expensive new. Been waiting for a second hand one for a while!

Cheers

Nice watch. Was that the model the RAF/RN used before seiko started making them.

I think they look good on an olive NATO also

Thanks. Not totally sure of the history of the model but think the W10 model is current issue, perhaps the mechanical chronos find their way to certain areas of the forces. The CWC site lists it as a pilot's watch.

I have always liked the look of two subdial chronos as opposed to the more common three dial. I have a few I will show you at some point but always interested to hear about models I have missed. I like the arrangement of the subdials on this CWC. Quite unusual.

About to order some NATO straps, olive, grey and black. Apparently the 20mm Eddie's straps fit perfectly despite the lugs being 19mm on the watch (typical of NATO eh??)

Cheers
