Does anyone know what year and model of JLC this is? I believe it's a Master Control but certainly not as chunky as the current range, my guess would be 1990's but anyone here know exactly? smile Thanks Rich...

Well chaps, I've found out that this is a Master Chronograph from the mid 90's/early 2000's (there was a master Geographic, Master mariner etc.) and the range followed the Odysseus series and pre-dated the current compressors. By today's standards it's comparatively small at 34mm and it has a hybrid movement known as the Mecaquartz - quartz for the timekeeping and mechanical for the chronograph. JLC called the movement the 631 calibre and shared it with IWC - some interesting stuff here http://www.qahill.com/tz/mq/mq.html

Bearing in mind this is unfashionably small and not a mechanical movement what do you reckon one would have to pay for one these days? scratchchin

No idea but they're lovely. I'd love a JLC for the collection.

Do you prefer the stainless steel or the gold?

Normally I'd say stainless for a JLC but that gold look stunning, maybe it's the black dial.
