Hi,

Which watch would you recommend for £2000 to £2500 (Prefer a breitling automatic). I would prefer new but would consider used if in very good condition.

Ta.

Panerai handwound, say 000 or 005 from Historic range.

Email me if you want a Rolex 50th Anniversary Submariner.

Two years old, 3650 list. 10/10 with box and papers and guarantee etc...

I noticed he removed the first post which was email me if you want a something or other sub. And I am thinking whats a sub. (mental images of uboats)

I am glad it was reposted as I can now see what they are talking about. Not sure about it though, seems a little plain from me but I do like the green.

He removed it because you are not supposed to attempt to sell watches here. He should know better. I have a Sub LV also, nice watch but too small for my current liking. As I said, try a Panny.

<predictable_beyond_words>Omega PO 45.5mm</predictable_beyond_words>

That's if you're into dive watches.

Now, if I had two and a half bags of sand to play with right now, I think I'd have a dabble in the pre-loved market.

Here's what caught my eye on watches.co.uk:

A very smart Omega de Ville Prestige. A nice thing about this watch is that it has the co-axial movement that needs less servicing.

This very dressy Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Ultra Thin. Smarter than a box of foxes, all of whom have done their Nintendo Brain Training.

It's a little bit blingy, what with the gold hands and all, but you did say you'd thought of a Breitling. So here's a IWC Ingenieur.

Here's that Breitling you were on about. I like watches with a date at 4 o'clock. This Breitling Shadow Flyback chronograph hasn't actually got all that much written on the dial. For a Breitling.

It'd be wrong to not at least try on a Rolex. But everyone's got a sub, and they're not in your price bracket, anyway. So here's a very smart vintage Oysterdate.

I've never really thought of Maurice Lacroix watches, and I'd really want to see it in the flesh before handing over the folding, but I like the dial and display back on this Calendrier Retrograde. Blued hands on a white face, and a power reserve that makes sense (it's a hand-winder). Classic.

Yeah, I got a b0llokcing and rightly so.

I am looking for cash for it early next week, so it is in his price range. Just.

My choice in that range (at the time) was an IWC Spitfire Chrono,

But, the weak pound means you can only get the basic model and it seems a shame to spend all that and get no complications at all.

Best looking posted so far is the Omega, IMO.

Guys, it's an interesting thread, don't clog it up with crap, go argue elsewhere.

How do you pronounce Maurice Lacroix? They make some very nice watches.

More-ees i.e. the French pronunciation of Maurice and Croix is French for Cross, pronounced "Kwuh" as in Kwuh-sant hehe so it's More-ess La-Kwuh ... does that work for you? wobble

p.s. ETA I guess I'm guilty of filling the thread with crap there biglaugh

Try this:

it's a great way to waste sometime, but as stated above that is correct.
