Weirdest watches....
Discussion
Doesn't have to be expensive, just odd or different.
I'll kick off with one of these that I have in my collection:

That's a rotating globe of the earth in there, that moves at the scale pace of our planet. Costs a few hundred quid if you can find one - strictly limited edition a few years ago.

Very unusual isn't it? I loved the idea that the mini globe rotates at the scale speed of the Earth - I'm geeky for stuff like that.

I assume a marking on the globe gives you the hours and the dot moving around the edge gives the minutes?
O/T welcome back BTW.
Cheers, good to be back.O/T welcome back BTW.
There is a little marker you can't see that tracks the hours IIRC - I never wear it. (To be honest, it isn't that easy to tell the time from - although it is accurate).
I'll have a look later.
I have a Russian artic watch (an ebay special).
Imagine waking up after a hard night on the vodka and looking at a traditional watch to see 10 o'clock. If you're living above the artic circle that could be 10am or 10pm as it would be daylight for both.
The solution is a watch face in which the hour hand sweeps through the full 24 hours rather than going twice round a twelve hour face.
I like it!

Here's an odd one from the '70s . .

"Litronix, primarily an LED supplier to the other vintage digital watch brands including the first Hamilton-Pulsar digital watches. Featured here are these two experimental prototype calculator concept watches Litronix was considering for development.
But what makes this strange watch special is the unusual feature of sliders instead of buttons. Likely an attempt to improve the data entry from multiple miniature buttons to a more tactile sliding mechanism. The sliders move over a commutator which is a pc board segment. "
I quite like it.
