Chaps,

I have a dilemma as what to buy next. I'm currently using a Tudor Oysterdate Big Block as my day to day watch, but as these are seeming to be going up value pretty rapidly i'm thinking it may be worth buying something else to use day to day.

I've got a small collection of things that i feel are too good to use day to day, which has got me thinking.

Currently i'm leaning towards a used Tag Carerra or a new 50mm TW Steel TW11.

Is there anything else i should be looking at?

Budget?

I'll be the first to suggest a Sinn. Any one will do, as they're all nice!!

I've got £2Kish but don't really want to spend all that.

I've not long bought a Bell & Ross BR01-92 but it's a bit big so i might be tempted to trade it in.

I've been looking at Rolex Explorers online tonight, i forgot how much i liked them.

I've been looking at Anonimo's for a while now. They do some nice looking watches for <£2k!

Forgot to add it must be on a bracelet.

Just had a look at the Sinn's and nice as they are they're not blowing my frock up.

The TW Steel appeals as it's only £300 and still looks good, but having been used to automatic watches for so long, it's almost a backward step going back to a quartz.

I love my Tudor, it was the first decent watch i ever bought, but in the 10 years i've had it it's tripled in value and is now too good to get battered about.

One of my mates has a Carrera chrono and it's a nice piece. You might want to have a look at Seamasters too. Bit more ubiquitous, but hard as nails.

Tag Carrera £1300!

As new and never been worn, apparantly!

Good choice with the Explorer but surely tiny if you like big watches?

I've got quite a varied collection going, both small and large. TBH i've got a thing for Rolex's.

It's like a disease. biggrin

Planet Ocean or Tag Carrera, both form part of my collection at the moment and both look brilliant no matter what you are wearing them with.

I have a tudor oysterdate chrono too and I love it, probably my favourite watch. If I had 2k to spend it would probably be on a Rolex Submariner or an Explorer or GMT Master. For a different brand, maybe a Panerai or an Omega Speedmaster (moon watch). I quite like Oris watches too.

I've got a green bezel Sub and Panerai Luminor Marina, never really fancied a GMT or the Speedmaster.

The more i think about it, the more i'm drawn to the Explorer.

The Explorer II RRP is now about £3,500 I think, unless you're thinking 'pre-loved'.

I'm looking at Explorer rather than Explorer II.

There is always an angle. wink
