Hi!

Is there a contact email for TZUK? I tried to become a member but it says that creating a new account is not possible at the moment.

I'd like to write to a mod if possible to see if I can sign up, there is a particularly nice watch on there at the moment and I'd like to know more!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can sort me out with an email address.

Yes, I am a member.

Eddie closed the forum to new members a few weeks ago due to the sheer number of spammers trying to join. He re-opened it a few days ago, but had to close it again for the same reason.

I don't think he will open it up again for a while. There aren't any moderators on TZ-UK. It is self policing, with Eddie exercising the right to delete users occasionally. He is a one man band.

Email me through this site and I will see if I can help you with the watch you are interested in.

Closed at present. I've tried a few times.
Is there an email we could try to see if he would let us in?

I'll ask. I wonder if he'll take recommendations from members?

I suspect any requests will get the infamous Eddie "No", but if you don't ask ......

I have attempted to put the seller in contact with the OP.

Thanks shadowninja, I have often seen nice stuff on there but I never got round to joining, sods law that now I see something I like it's closed!

If it's possible to contact the guy direct I'd appreciate the opportunity to join.

Thanks!

If you mean, why might he say "No" to an individual membership request, then probably because it is just him designing watches, liasing with suppliers, running the Timefactors Online Shop, plus the forum etc etc. He has to draw the line somewhere.

If you mean why has "No" become his trademark, then it's probably because he is a straight talking Yorkshireman, who gets asked lots of questions on the forum about what watch he is planning next, can someone have variation X, can he say when it will be available etc. I am sure it is just simplest to say "No", rather than give a full explanation.

I have a lot of respect for the man - he produces excellent watches, at a great price. I have bought 5 of his watches, and have been happy with all of them.

Yes, I was talking about the general "no" replies rather than the membership bit (which I fully understand).

It just comes over as unecessarily rude.

Yes, and I don't think I have. I was registering to talk about a watch, changed my mind, and left it, was going to make an intro at some point but obviously wasn't quick enough.

Hmm, I have just tried to register. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

Someone tell me, if I'm a new member on there (I hope) will folk take me seriously if I'm wanting to buy a watch.

Try in the mornings. Its only open when he can review and approve new members. Use a substantial email address too (at the very least your real name @ Hotmail, as meaningless bks names at GMail etc will be refused out of hand)
