what is a realistic price for one of these - I have been offered one at "list" (£5700 or so!), I have to say I quite like it, it is big and heavy but does look good.

Has anyone else got one, did anyone buy theirs online - they all seem to be selling for over list price online?

Don't be daft - not worth the cash if you are looking for an investment. Go for a 16600

I could let you have mine for just £5,699 (or so) wink

If you're serious about getting a Deap Sea them it may be worth contacting Dominic of this parish www.hackettwatches.com or there is one for sale on TZ-UK for £5,600 http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t...

If I do get the new one then I will probably sell the old one - it looks quite puny in comparison!

I'm told that the prices are going up again by 10-12% so that is a reduced price....... In 2 weeks you will battle to get £5750 I think!

I got mine also at list - it is superb - plus my wife went for the "I need it in case we go into the sea on holiday" line....

Out of interest, has the price on these shot up with the introduction of the new model? Abnout 3 or 4 years few years back I thought the old Sea Dweller was about 200 quid more than the Submariner which now sells for about 3500 give or take. Any reason for the Deep Sea costing 5700 other than Rolex being able to get away with it?
James.
