Panerai Luminor Marina

Hello,
Can anyone confirm that a genuine Luminor Marina has a glass back ?
I have found one at a competitive price, although truth be told it doesn't feel like it has a £5k RRP
A friend has 2 (1 given to him as a gift) and swore that he wouldn't buy another himself as one (chrono model) has been in for repair twice due to not being very robust. I think the JLC compressor range are better built. Also, investigate the service cost (for complication based watches) prior to buying one - they are on the expensive side compared to other similar priced pieces....Can anyone confirm that a genuine Luminor Marina has a glass back ?

All the one you win yourself have a saphire crystal back - i.e. you can see the movement.
Any that are automatic- have a metal back.
Ish anyway.I am sure there might be the odd exception. (www.paneristi.com - ask these guys).
Thankyou all for your helpful comments. It was in fact a genuine, winding example that sold for £1800 at auction plus 20% buyers premium.

I guess it was still cheap, but not cheap enough all things considered
