I'm after some advice on how you value a watch? Is it a case of viewing the classifieds and getting an idea from others for sale, or do I pop into a dealer?

I'm considering selling one of my watches, but I need to explore if the return will be worth it before making a final decision.

ETA: I also need to know the best place to advertise it too (other than PH of course) so would welcome any suggestions on this too.

Thanks.

ebay generally sets the prices for second hand watches tbh.

What is it you are looking to sell?

It's like selling a car, if you go to a dealer they will give you a rubbish price. You can pay for a valuation to take place, but whether you will realise that price is another matter. Depending on the watch, check ebay and also have a browse on tz-uk.com. You will get a pretty good idea on pricing there.

Thanks chaps, it's a 2002 Breitling so i'll take a look at the sites you mention to see if any similar models are for sale.

Thanks again for the swift response.
