Just how accurate is this much purchased watch? I know it isn't COSC standard but if it is 30 secs per day for example to me it is about as useful as a chocolate saucepan. Good value it may be but, much vaunted as it is, does it do what it is supposed to - tell the time accurately?

Had mine for a couple of months - been on my wrist 'most every day.

First couple of weeks it was virtually spot on, losing about 2 secs a week.

Now it seems to have settled down to consistently gain about 15 secs a week.

I've stopped messing around trying to keep the second hand spot on, but I reset the minute hand whenever I catch the time signal on the radio every week or so.

I took it off for a day and it lost some time, but keep it fully wound and it seems fine.

More than satisfied with the timekeeping and very much enjoying wearing it.

Mine seems pretty accurate. I couldn't tell you exactly but I rarely alter it. It's my daily beater and I can't fault it.

I'd agree with the first response on how mine performs. Not much time loss at all. It's pretty dang good watch at a great price.

Ive had an orange monster for about 6 months used it as a daily beater... couple of seconds a week is about right for mine.

I have had a Monster for about 2 months. During that time I would say the gain is about 45secs per week. My new MM300, on the other hand, is about +2 secs per day. Guess which one I prefer?!

Mine is probably a 10 seconds a day.

However aren't you asking a bit much of a £100 automatic (the same movement that goes into basic £30 Seiko 5's) when chronometer standard is something like +4/-6 seconds/day?

Had mine a few months now!

It gains a few minutes a day. I'm constantly correcting it at the end of the day.

It doesn't get worn much, though. I've not worn it since last Friday, it often goes this sort of time without being worn. So perhaps it still hasn't settled?

I've had mine for a couple of weeks and it loses a minute a week, or about nine seconds a day. Is it common for them to get faster after a few months?

It's not my most accurate watch but it's definitely my favourite!

Mine runs quite slow, couple of minutes a week at least. It's been running continuously, either on my wrist or in a winder, since September last year. If I had the tools I'd pop the back off and have a go at regulating it.

I synchnonised mine against the BBC time signal 2 weeks ago.

It's now 11 seconds slow having been on my wrist continuously.

Over the 2 weeks it's gone from a couple of seconds fast in the first 2 days to 30 seconds slow a week ago and then back to where it is now, so it's not as if its consistently slow and I don't think regulating it would impove things.

Not too bad for a 100 quid automatic me thinks.

I've had mine for about 3 months and it's running about 5 sec slow per day. Pretty damn good bang for the buck if you asked me.

I dont know if my skx009 can be classed as a monster but it loses a few mins a month, but it is my daily bruiser so not to botherd.
Does it make any difference if the face is left facing up or down at night? i know some watches speed up or slow down depending on the postion you leave them.

Had mine for a month, I wear it all the time and it seems to have settled into losing 75 seconds a week.
