TAG Heuer Carrera
Discussion
I do like the classic design of the Carrera range, but when I tried one on I wasn't too keen on the thickness of the case - At 16mm I found it sat rather high on my wrist, which are by no means weedy! It's all down to personal preference though ... The viewing window in the back of the case is gorgeous and most likely the reason why it is so thick in the first place!
AD's will offer some sort of discount if you push - Maybe 10-20% on the RRP of the watch. Are you after a leather strap or steel bracelet?

I own this one - not bought from these guys though, I got a good deal on it from an airport, bit of an impulse buy but I use it (on that strap) for things like tennis etc.

I tried one on at about the time that I bought my Speedmaster. I decided against it in the end because:
1) I don't like the addition of "Tag" to the Heuer branding.
2) The design of the watch is nice, but I felt that it stood too proud of my wrist and also that the metal bracelet was a little too narrow for the body of the watch.
Ultimately your choice though - go and try one on, get the best price that you can from your high street dealer (aim for 10% off as a starting point) and then see what Dominic H can do for you.
Whatever you do, buy it with the metal bracelet. Don't be tempted by any of the other straps since you can easily and cheaply replicate the look of a leather or rubber strap, but buying the metal bracelet later will be hugely expensive.
