Hi all

Been a lurker for a while finally thought I join up

I like the look of Cartier Roadster W62002V3 can’t find much information about them

Anybody here with one or with any options on Cartier in general, well made, reliability etc

Cheers

My wife has a Cartier and it does appear quite well made. Certainly looks beautiful.

Hers is a Santos galbee which is a lot of money for a quartz watch but I was keen on her getting it anyway.

In short the styling is fantastic, quality seems good but there is a huge premium for the brand.

Do all Cartier's use quartz movements? Or do they use in house automatics too? Seem's an awful premium if not, although they are beautiful.

Some of the models do have automatic movements. I'd guess around 50% of the range.

I liked the idea of having both a bracelet and leather strap as it comes with both, and the oblong shape.

I was considering a Speedmaster professional on a leather strap until I spotted the roadster

May have to try both and see which i like the best

Do Cartier make their own movements or are they bought in?

Hi Paul,

The W62002V3 grey dial Roadster is discontinued. There are two versions of the gents auto available, they are...

W62025V3 LM Silver/Roman numerals
W62041V3 LM Black dial with elongated white Roman numerals

Both retail at £3750....

That would explain why Cartier’s website had no mention of them

I wouldn't say better. That's a personal decision. If you're looking for something purely for aesthetics, there's nothing wrong with a high end fashion watch. Not my bag as I prefer the top quality timepieces, but I do think that the Raodster is a nice looking watch.

I have one of these, W62025V3 LM automatic silver dial with roman numeral. It's a nice watch and the changeable straps are a nice touch, although the strap is no longer calf skin but some sort of canvas(I had the previous model with the leather which was much nicer, but lost itsilly}

I wear it most days and it keeps good time, the only thing I would say is the metal does scuff very quickly, but like I say I wear it a lot.
