.. relatively speaking..

Following a birthday I have a little fighting fund with which to endeavour my new found horological nuances..

I'm currently wearing this 45mm offering from Fossil (and have been for over a year now)..

Now, I like complications, but am also a bit of a gadget freak.. So, I'm stuck on what to do..

Budget is circa £250 but could push up a little from there for something "nice"..

At the moment I'm considering getting two watches, this casio waveceptor affair..

and something from Werners..

But.. I'm really not sure... so, if anyone would fancy having a nose around to see if they could recommend anything for around about the £250 mark, I'd be grateful...

Most suggestions gratefully received.. wink

Breil Mito?

No gadgets really, but a nice looking watch IMO.

Being recently converted watch geek, I'd say get two watches. Perhaps one for smarter occasions and one for buggering about in.

Don't forget to have a look at a Seiko 5. Really good VFM.

On advice from PH'ers I got a couple Seiko 5's and they are superb watches for the cash. I also own a few other models but the Seiko's just that something extra.

i've got the same waveceptor as you've picked out - though i didn't spend 250 on it!
good quality feel to it, although the date display is a bit small for me.

nice watch, it gets some wrist time now and then as it's a bit different from the rest of my lot.

I won't be spending £250 on it, it's available for £115 on the high street..

Cheers for the info chap..

£250? A Seiko auto diver as a beater c.£100 and something auto with a bit of a classical look from Werners, maybe.

Keep the fossil as a beater and get a PRS-5 with a view back case.

If you don't mind buying used, you could get a Tag Heuer F1 for that money? A bit careful searching and you might even get a new one for that?

Cheers for the suggestion, if I'm honest I'm not a massive Tag fan unless it's a monaco. Also I'd much prefer to buy new..

The crappy yen rate pushes it up to just under three hundred, but search the forum for the "seiko power design" chrono I posted up a few months ago. Jap market limited edition lovliness.
