It doesn't seem that the high-end watch makers really consider ladies watches very much which is a pain because my mrses has been dropping hints she'd like a new watch (I think she's caught me looking at this forum a few too many times) so I think my next purchase will be for her.

So, has anyone got any suggestions? She has a little quartz rectangular stainless steel Raymond Weil on a steel bracelet. Just wants something different, that maybe goes well with a leather strap. She is petite/small wrists so something quite small (abt 25mm would be ideal).

Would like a proper watchmaker watch i.e. not some fashion brand or fancy jewels type of watch. Budget is up to abt 2k ideally 1k-1500. Don't mind used as long as its mint but need to decide on a brand/model anyway.

Only things I have kind of ruled out are the Omega Constellations (cos my cousin bro bought his wife one already) and the ladies Rolex Datejust or Yachmasters (not sure if its within budget anyway). Oh and I don't like the JLC/Franck Muller kind of designs either.

I do like some Bulgari's and Cartiers but again don't know about budgets or where I can find one!

Omega Seamaster?

Got the wife the 'Bond' ladies version and it suprisingly elegant for a sports watch.

Shame to dismiss JLC as you need to hold and feel them to understand the craftsmanship and quality - my wife never used to wear a watch until she started to get hooked on my enthusiasm - now she has 2 JLCs and the Omega.
