At a £300 - £1000 budget could you get a Rolex?

Retro is ok, automatic a must, although a quartz ok on a female watch. I am looking for potential presents.

Lovely, just the thought of thing I am after. Do they do two tone airkings, say steel and gold? And ladies watches? Would TZ be the best place to buy, as having a gmail account means I am no longer a member frown

Thanks for the help.

There are lots of Rolex from dealers that regularly go for under 1k on ebay. Perfectly safe if you buy from a dealer or someone with a long track record.

I recently saw an Oyster Perpetual go for £640 - but that i very rare. A very nice Oyster Precision can easily be had for £700-1000 - and these are great watches.

I'd seriously suggest you steer clear of the Bay for a Rolex unless you can visit the seller's shop. There are some VERY good fakes out there (there's an industry in counterfeit Rolex holograms and documentation). Being charitable, perhaps the seller may not even realise they are selling a fake.
