Hi

I've been trying to locate a used IWC Spitfire Chrono (IW3717-02) for a little while now and having no luck at all. I've found them new for around £2400 but would much prefer to buy pre-owned as I've had good experiences this way in the past.

I know they're quite a rare watch and think I've hit all the obvious web spots but would anybody have a steer on somewhere else I could try?

Thanks

They are not even remotely rare, I have seen three within the last two weeks on TZ-UK, all on leather mind. I might be wrong but none of them sold at £1750, £1800ish.

I think they were all IWC 3717-01 chronographs which have a black face.

Dumfunk wants a 3717-02 which is the spitfire chronograph.

Yup, it's a silver faced chrono I'm after but thanks for the responses guys.
I already have a Tag Heuer Carrera Chrono in black that I love so am specifically after a different look.

I'll keep looking ...

I was looking out for a used one of these silver with brown face and had no luck. I have ended up going for a new one with exchange rate comes in at 2300 gpb But like someone said they are a sought after watch and quite hard to source and mine is being brought in from another country. You can check watchfinder they had / have a nice limited blue face one and they can get you one but be wary of price suddenly rising. I'm sure you'll find one eventully and it will be worth the wait. They are a stunning watch but in a understated way I have a few omegas including a nice display back speedy but the iwc is set to become the new first choice.

I bought mine two years back (not for sale) and paid £2,800 with steel bracelet. It seems that the price increases of the up market Swiss manufacturers have positioned used more or less at the price when bought (more in the case of some makes like Rolex) There seem to be a few of the old model around but the new model has more style with the propellor style hands I feel. Like the OP says, quite rare even on Ebay at the moment.
