My new watch, thanks to Boshly

Last week on the Wrist Check thread Boshly very generously offered to give away his "surplus to requirements" Seiko 8M25.

So I claimed it and I collected it from the sorting office this morning.

First and foremost I'd like to give a massive thank you to Andy for a stunning watch.

I'm taking it to have a new battery and service on Monday and look forward to having it up and running very soon.
It really is a nice watch and in fantastic condition for something I'm guessing is pretty old. The face is virtually unmarked and it sits on a lovely brown leather strap.

I'll take some pics when I find a decent camera and I get my laptop working

So mostly, thanks again Andy and when it's working it will take pride of place in my growing collection.

Eta: I have just sat and tried to work out when I bought it and would say it must be about 25 years old.

All I would ask is when/if it becomes surplus to requirements you pass it on to someone else appreciative.
