Ok we all have them, the one you don't really mind if gets knocked about a bit, but if the truth be known you wouldn't like to lose it?

Here's mine, to be honest more people comment on it than my Omega Seamaster!!!!

That's very nice indeed. I recently bought a monster with a black face and love it for what it is, a good watch that i'm not worried about bashing.

My Sea Dweller... Although I'd be gutted if it went walkies.

It was bought as a functional watch, to take a good battering. It feels like it was hewn from granite so no worries there.

If it got lost I'd be very pissed of as it was an engagement gift from the wife and the fact that it was the last of the original type.

Only half answered the question.

This one. I wear it on a black leather strap because I dont like metal straps. I'll have to get a photo up in the wrist check thread one day.

I did stop wearing it for a couple of years, but recently it's found itself back in favour again.

Similarly I find my Monster is now getting more wrist time than my Spitfire Chrono. Feels more comfortable, is accurate, the lume is fantastic and should I lose it - well, it isn't really a catastrophe now, is it?

If I had seen that at Xmas I may well have got that instead of the Tag Carrera I have at the moment. Its really nice. I can't really justify ANOTHER black faced chrono as I have an AstroAvia R7 for when I am cycling into work. Although after the Tag is does feel too light. I'm hoping a Nato strap will sort it out, but if not this is SO on the list!

I am a big fan of EMAS available at www.timepieces.co.uk
Story goes they started as a "lend" watch in swanky hotels whilst you Patek or Rozza was in the safety deposit box.........they're quite funky with a variety of coloured/polycarbonate straps!

Speak to Bettina at Timepieces........great service!

Hmmm...think that's just what it is...story. Somehow can't see your average Patek wearer being thrilled at the prospect of donning one of those beauties.

1970s Sicura Diver's watch. Subtle, old school, internal bezel and world time. Lume isn't bad for its age.

The chunk taken out took ages to work out what city it could be: Saigon. I guess this makes the watch early 1970s.

Oh Thankyou Mr Picky!! - sounds perfectly reasonable to me.......but that said I'm sure you'd wear you Patek on a sandy beach?

Anyway......the point being it's a nice "cheap".......thats all!

here's a cheap (£40 second hand) seiko alfie chrono, i love it to bits but i'm such a clumsy bleeder that i daren't wear it, i know i'll scratch it to bits or worse...

i tend to wear this altanus most of the time, it has already got battlescars from the radiator in the dining room (it gets bashed on the radiator everytime i go in theremadmad)
it cost £90 second hand and is a nice large and comfy to wear timepiece...

This one...

Pulsar PJN299X1 - Managed to pick it up when Argos had them at £35 a couple of years ago and it's great. Caused more comments than my Speedmaster..... and comes out when I don't want the speedy damaged!

I'm awaiting my new EMAS chrono (limited edition of 98 pieces apparently - £625) at the moment.

http://www.timepieces.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath...

I won it for letter of the month in Octane this month so when it arrives I'll let you all know what I think but, and a big but, it'll have to be something to make me take the Monster off my wrist. Mine too is black faced - thought the orange a bit out of step with my age group! I got that from rkwatchhouse on Fleabay after seeing them recommended here and I have to say the service was superb.

He might be genuinely replying. I recall a thread on TZ-UK asking people to post pics of their "beaters". Some posted pics of their Rolex Subs (or SDs)... being used at depth. cool
