Dive Dynamics - Repair?
Discussion
Hi, just starting to get into watches, funnily enough after getting an old accurist I had since I was 16 stolen off me last year.
So, my Dad has an old Dive Dynamics watch and its sitting somewhere gathering dust. I was on watchworx looking for a new strap from my AstroAvia R7 (I just don't like the plain black leather any more) and saw a rubber strap that looked so like the stap on the Dive Dynamics that I thought I would rescue the watch, put this strap on after a service.
Problem is where to get it serviced, google yeilds not a lot except Cheal Watches, who I might give a go once I have found the watch and taken some pics for them to look at. Anyone else know of a place. I assume that if the omnipotent Google doesn't know much that they aren't still going themselves..

hello mate
you could try sending the watch to stephen brrage of ryte time watch repairs in leicester, he has a very good reputation on the watch fora, i sent my breitling navitimer to him for a new crystal and the hands replacing/re-setting after a big knock fetched them off...
i have recently sent two seiko automatic chronographs to him and am expecting a quote for the repairs shortly...

Holy thread resurrection Batman ;P
I took the back off last night and have ordered a battery for it as a start. I don't think I will be doing any Scuba in it soon, so I have decided to give reapinring it a go myself. I'll try to take a few pics of it tonight for before and after. I have read a few interesting things about taking Bezels off, but these seem to only apply to Rolex watches.
I think the Dive Dynamics is just a Seiko at heart so I am hoping the bezel will match up to one of the watches modders love and then I can look to get a bezel. I need to have a good measure up and start getting the parts in!
Anyone got any good places for getting Bezels etc?

Just make sure the "O" ring is still in good order and not brittle. Give it a smidge of silicon grease and just screw it back on and it should be ok. Dont be tempted to over tighten it as all this will do is deform the "O" ring.
This is only what I did to my G shock when the battery needed changing. Ive dived quite deep with it and no problems so if yours leaks I take no responsability
