Some nice watches there. Love that Carronade!

I often look out for vintage watches, but the main problem I find is that a lot of them look too small these days.

What are the rules of a watch being vintage? Mine's a 68 Golden Ellipse but they still make them now.

(Apologies for poor picture quality)

I need to take some pics and post them. What's the secret to getting clear close pictures, other than using the macro function?

I very generously "acquired" through another PH'er a circa. 25 year old Seiko 8M25 the other day.

Does that count?

I really like that. It's completely barking in that early 70s way.

Plenty of light (outside is best).

I like sixties and early seventies Omegas. I have a number of Seamasters (135.oxx and 136.oxx types), a Chronostop date and a late Dynamic with a c1012 and a blue-silver-blue dial.

Thinking about selling that one, too may recent purchases and that one is rarely worn.

Not going to sell that one ever (hopefully) it certainly wasn't cheap but is very tidy having been back to Omega for a very expensive service and lots of new bits, have got a new bracelet for it to but tend not to wear it on that.

Cheap early 80's Seiko 5, not a lot else to say really.

Heres some of mine (some old, some not so old)...

From left to right, the moonwatch is only 1 year old (but a 40 year old design lol)

The gold Rotary is from the turn of the 40s/50s just after the war, while the Marina DeLuxe is from the mid 70s from when it was first bought by my dad.

The Brietling Wings is from 2001 so getting more and more vintage by the day, and the Zodiac Seadragon is also about 10 years old.

Now got a new addition too, one of the Kings of the vintage scene, a 1969 Zenith El Primero - I'll let the pics do the talking for this one smile

i would think that it would qualify as some people think that to be classed as vintage they have to be over 25 years old, anyhow seiko make some superb stuff and there are some desireable quatrz chono watches that have good followings;)
