SWMBO has two Rolexes (unfortunately); she refused to let me px the all steel one for her new one; hence using Alexanders down in Surrey somewhere. now gone and disappeared.....

She now has two and I want a nice watch! Her 'new' one needs a service etc and proper clean and I also want one or something similar.

Anybody recommend a good indie in London/SE or in Ciren/Cheltenham? When I have walked into places, we either get cr4p service or they look at her wearing a half decent one and play silly bu66ers.....

Thanks for any recommendations etc

With regard to servicing the ladies watch. If you go to an AD, they will have a prepared price list to service a Rolex Datejust at Rolex UK, likely to be c£250 and take upto 10 weeks. Alternatively, have a look at the British Horological website and their 'find a repairer' link.

http://www.bhi.co.uk/repairer.html

This will direct you to your nearest BHI watchmaker.

Which watch are you after?

Alexanders have reopened in Farnham and will still get your watch serviced, to give you an idea on costs they wanted £280 + a new crown to sort my Tag Carrera out. In the end an independant watch chap in Fleet changed it for £83. No service though.

You could always drop your Rolex of with Dominic and let him sort it out, like I have!

Why don't you call Rolex in St.James Square, London (020 7024 7300) or take it to them. They will service the watch direct, it will probably take 4-8 weeks but this is what i would do and have done in the past and their service is second to none.
