I know the rules about naming etc, but I thought forum members would like to know my experiences.

Just got my Longines delivered today. In the shops for £1410.00, from Watchfinder for £1128.00.

Their service was excellent. Alex, who I spoke to on the phone several times, really knew his stuff, and guided me through my first 'big' purchase.

They sourced the watch within a week, and delivered it to my door a moment ago - packaging was excellent, and the watch was spotless.

Really worth checking them out if you haven't used them before.

The naming rules are for bad companies. I can't see watchfinder suing PH over your post. smile

I have been eyeing up their website. They do have interesting watches in from time to time.

Yep - nice piece Phil, my son has got his eye on one of these - Enjoysmile

BTW I sold watchfinder a daytona a couple of years ago (when I had no eBay/Turf/TZ history) and found them fair and efficient

Cheers

Saved me £400 on an Omega Speedmaster, brother has had plenty of dealings with them in the past and also has nothing but good things to say about them. Great company, believe they purchase their watches abroad (hence the savings) as my brothers Rolex Submariner's guarantee card is stamped in Rome.

Saved almost £800 on my Orange Beizel'd Seamaster Planet Ocean 2 years ago when I bought it

Cannot fault them .. Service was super fast and the Courier even came to my work to deliver.

As much as I like saving money, there is nothing quite like the search and finally finding your prize in a shop and that touchy feely thing when buying. the banter with the sales person, negotiation etc.

And when you walk out of the shop with your new pride and joy the feeling is great.

IMHO of course.

I did try that. I managed to get the highstreet down from £1410.00 to £1250.00, but it was nagging me that I could save a further £120.00 from the online shop, just by being patient for another week.

i got my IWC Spitfire Chrono though them, saved £100 from buying at AD in Bluewater, was boxfresh, even had the plasic clingfilm over the case.

Spent about an hour with the 3 watches on my shortlist before i made up my mind, worth a visit if you are Kent based

Maybe they are good at selling watches, but I a bit miffed about them repairing my Tag.

Sent it to them on the 10th August, called to check they had it the next day, all ok.

Called AGAIN today (27th Aug) as I hadn't heard from them, to be told they hadn't sent it off to be repaired yet!!!!

No idea when I might see it again, not impressed.

Same with almost all middlemen. Local jewellers called me 3 weeks after I'd dropped my G-Shock off to them to check that I did indeed want a new battery in it, and hadn't just left it with them for sts and giggles.

I realised I never finished the story,

Well a few weeks after my last post I got the watch badck cost me £240.00 and to be fair to watchfinder it is like a brand new watch.

New hands
New face
Case & strap cleaned up

Almost a bit too new looking to be honest.

Has been on my wrist ever since, and faultless to date.

So in balance, pretty good job, but poor communicators imho.
