I need a new daily watch and I'm tempted by the Aquaspeed with the black finish. Just concerned that a few accidental knocks might leave it looking a bit tatty if any silver comes through.

Are they fairly resistant to general wear and tear or will it just look utter cack after a while? (I appreciate some may think it looks cack new, that's OK).

H.Samuel are still flogging them at just under £100 (apparently down from £200 but they have been cheaper for ages), I've been in and tried one on and like the looks, the strap feels a bit lightweight and cheap but I couldn't really smash it against the counter to see how easy it was to scratch smile

Any input would be appreciated.

I've got a black ion Citizen watch which is similar http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2... had it a couple of months and no scratches yet (I don't wear it every day as I have quite a few watches), but it does get marked by fingerprints etc very easily.

This range seems to have picked up the name "Chavimeter" on the dedicated watch forums, I'm liking quite a few of them though so I guess I'm a wannabe... actually I know I am, if I could afford one that wasn't a homage I'd be wearing it now smile

The last one would look quite acceptable with a black strap.

TBH if you like it, get it. Breitlings and Rotaries have their place. I wouldn't want to climb with a Breitling on or leave a bundle of £1500 notes in the locker on an easily breakable padlock, for instance.

I like the black one and the one with the blue face and bracelet, might get the pair but will hold out a little longer on the black finish to see if anyone has experienced one in the real world. Happy to put up with any marks inflicted by careless actions but wouldn't be impressed if it rubs against itself in normal wear and turns silver.
