I have always wanted one since I was a boy , and the oppourtunity to buy one has come along,

2006 yellow face emergency 230 he wants £2k for it, does that seem like a good price? It is in very good condition with box and all documentation and origonal purchase receipt.

Would i lose any money on it if i had to sell for what ever reason in a couple of years?

I'm off today to buy a navitimer world, looking at all the others that have come up for sale I think I'm getting a really good deal,( price wise ), will be meeting the guy at a breitling dealer for them to check the watch over, ( and give me it in writing ),also change the strap for the bracelet that comes with it.
If all is well then deal will be done.
I would suggest that as long as you are happy with the price, then you do the same, that way there should be no surprises waiting for you.

A nice watch, though I hope you never have to use it. If you buy it you should register yourself with Breitling UK (0207 636 5200) as they keep a log of who has which Emergency....

I think that 2K is a good price for a watch of that age. As far as losing money is concerned that is almost inevitable on such a purchase. If you are worried about resale values then go for a sub or a speedy.

Post photographs of it when you get it!

£2k sounds a fair price for it, not a bargain, but not daylight robbery, if the condition stays good I'd say you'd not lose that much on it but as always buy a watch because you like it not as an investment. wink

Sounds like a good buy, always fancied one myself, not sure if I would trust myself after too many beers!
Does last orders constitute an emergency??
Seriously, go for it!
