My boss has recently received a rather nice present from someone; a Tudor watch with 14K white gold Rolex Oyster case from 1973 in mint condition. He isn't one for watches (Never wears 'em), but I said he should look into having the watch valued and insured ...

What do you think it's worth?

Probably ball park. My last valuation on my 1973 Air King in 14k was just over £3k so somewhere around £1-£1.5k would seem about right.
