As the web editor for Lusso Magazine, I occasionally get to hear about some interesting watch companies. Saro-Gem have been around for decades, but are only now available in the UK.
Every watch is customised and they never make more than 1000 a year.
Could be of interest to a PHer who wants something very unique?

Hi,
I'm astonished it has taken these guys so long to finally sort out a presence in the UK. I've been a big fan of these watches for a long while and they are the only brand I can think of that offer complete customisation rather than just occasional limited editions. I bought one in Switzerland a few years ago and the fact that every watch is a one-off is really cool. I saw a recent review on a US watch site that makes interesting reading: http://watchcollector.net/saro-gem/.html. They are obviously not a big global brand, but sometimes that's a plus rather than a minus.
